The other day I got the opportunity to interview the CEO of ACTIVE Life Baker Harrell. ACTIVE Life is a non-profit Austin based organization who's mission is to make healthy the norm by organizing the movement for a healthy change. The ACTIVE Life movement has achieved some awesome results to date including getting over 900,000 people in 43 different states to join the ACTIVE Life movement and in their first "Make the Movement Day" in 2010 they recorded over 90,000 moments of health! Even more importantly, they have bigger events planned in 2011 including a Demand Healthy Week which we can all be a part of this May. For more information and ways to join the ACTIVE movement, be sure to go to Activelifehq.org and watch the above interview where Baker discusses their upcoming projects.
Being the CEO at a fast growing company makes finding time to be active a challenging task, but one that Baker makes sure to prioritize in his life. In addition to learning about the awesome things ACTIVE Life is doing, be sure to watch our interview to find out the details on how Baker is able to consistently fit in workouts, eat nutritiously at work (and inspire his team to do the same), and make fitness part of his identity, instead of as a means to an end.
You'll also learn about Baker's favorite healthy eat out spot in Austin, what beverages he drinks throughout his day, what he recommends for individuals looking to stick to their 2011 New Year's resolution, and plenty more!
Enjoy the interview everyone and thanks again to Baker Harrell at ACTIVE Life for chatting with us on how he is able to achieve a healthy and active lifestyle while living a busy and demanding life!
